A Territory to Discover, a Paradise for Hunting and Fishing!

Located in the northern part of the MRC de La Vallée-de-la-Gatineau, Grand-Remous is one of the region’s gateways for visitors arriving from Abitibi and the Laurentians. Its evocative name is said to refer to the turbulent waters of the Gatineau River at this location.

Make a stop and discover its many attractions!

The magnificent Savoyard Covered Bridge, built in 1931, stretches 102 metres across the river. Featuring observation areas and interpretive panels that tell the story of log driving, it offers an exceptional view of the Grand-Remous rapids.

Near the church, discover Albert-Lévesque Park, Roland-et-Emeryle-Lafleur Park, as well as a roadside rest area offering beautiful views of the river.

The majestic Baskatong Reservoir, covering approximately 320 km², is another of Grand-Remous’ major attractions. The many outfitters and outdoor facilities along its shores provide countless opportunities to enjoy nature. Water sports, camping, fishing, hiking and other outdoor activities are just some of the ways to explore this vast territory.
