A good number of the more than 3200 lakes in our territory are accessible by boat. There are launches for larger watercrafts and water access sites for smaller crafts such as canoes, kayaks and paddle boards.
Most ramps are accessible free of charge, but you must first check the map to find out which ones charge a fee, and what regulations must be followed.
Please note that many of our lakes are threatened by Eurasian watermilfoil and blue-green algae. It is compulsory to wash boats and trailers before launching them in all of the lakes within the municipalities of Messines and Blue Sea. Those who do not respect these regulations must pay fines.
Please help protect the health of our lakes and save them for future generations. Help us preserve this natural wealth and take the time to wash your boat at one of the washing stations.
