Welcome to Bois-Franc
Although its first settlers arrived as early as 1870, the peaceful Municipality of Bois-Franc was not officially established until 1920. It offers residents and visitors alike a welcoming community and a wonderful place to enjoy the quality of life the area has to offer.
Located north of Maniwaki, in the heart of the Vallée-de-la-Gatineau, Bois-Franc is approximately 140 kilometres north of Gatineau, in the Outaouais region.
Its church stands at the heart of the village, near Saint-Boniface Elementary School and a large park featuring a baseball field and an outdoor skating rink.
The Réjean-Lafrenière Industrial Park also contributes to the municipality’s economic activity. It is home to Louisiana-Pacific Canada Ltd., Quebec Division, which operates an oriented strand board (OSB) manufacturing facility.
Known for its warm hospitality and friendly community spirit, Bois-Franc invites you to come and discover this charming corner of the Vallée-de-la-Gatineau!
