Description
The Poirier Fishing and Hunting Territory is an exclusive‑rights outfitter covering approximately 320 km², located along the southeastern edge of the La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve. Operated by the Poirier family since the 1940s, the outfitter offers a peaceful natural setting and an authentic experience, well known among outdoor, hunting, and fishing enthusiasts. The site is easily accessible via Highway 117 and Forest Road 14 West.
Fishing is offered for walleye, northern pike, lake trout, and brook trout, while hunting opportunities include moose, black bear, and small game. Waterfront chalets near the main camp, as well as remote camps throughout the territory, are available under the European plan, with several on‑site services such as a boat launch, freezers, and BBQs. During the summer season, primitive camping without services is also permitted. Pets are not allowed anywhere on the territory.
