The trails are maintained by the P\u00f4le d&#8217;excellence en r\u00e9cr\u00e9otourisme de l&#8217;Outaouais<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-post-date\"><time datetime=\"2025-05-20T14:06:00-04:00\">20 May 2025<\/time><\/div>\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our hiking trails meet Rando Qu\u00e9bec standards.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Outaouais Center of Excellence in Recreational Tourism \u2013 PERO Outaouais<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Active in the Vall\u00e9e-de-la-Gatineau since 2013, <a href=\"https:\/\/perooutaouais.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>PERO Outaouais<\/strong> <\/a>mission is to support outdoor recreational tourism initiatives in the Vall\u00e9e-de-la-Gatineau, one of the main achievements of which is the implementation , in collaboration with the municipalities, of a network of hiking trails under the theme &#8220;Get off the beaten track&#8221;. It now offers nearly 100 kilometers of trails through the Vall\u00e9e-de-la-Gatineau. In summer, the trails are perfect for walking with the family, as a couple or even with your pet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In winter, the trails are transformed and adapted for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. The trails meet Rando-Qu\u00e9bec standards, which ensures a quality experience for users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our top 3 recommandations for hiking trails<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Beginner trail:<\/strong> &#8220;Au soleil&#8221; trail (Quinn waterfall network in Montcerf-Lytton): Part of the network of the municipality of Montcerf-Lytton, this 2.6 kilometer route between the Baskatong reservoir and Route 117 begins at the municipal boat launch. With a level walking surface and crossing an essentially horizontal topography, this trail is ideal for beginner walkers wanting to learn about hiking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Intermediate trail:<\/strong> &#8220;Oaks&#8221; Trail (Mud Lake to Gracefield network): This 2.1 kilometer loop located on one of the wooded lots of the Town of Gracefield, crosses a series of hills populated by oaks and pines. The winding course of the trail takes advantage of the numerous flat areas of the surrounding relief and makes sure to offer gentle elevation changes requiring an intermediate level effort.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Advanced Trail: <\/strong>Trail #3 (Mont Morissette to Blue Sea Network): The Mont Morissette Regional Park, in the municipality of Blue Sea, offers many routes on its two peaks, including that of trail #3 which traverses the southern mountain for 5.5 kilometers.
