The Savoyard Bridge<\/strong><\/a> in Grand-Remous connects both shores of the Gatineau River. To get there, you must take Pont-Rouge Road. Named in honor of the family of pioneer Amable Savoyard, the covered bridge spans 103 meters over the \u201cgrand remous\u201d of the Gatineau River. Built in 1931 in the <\/span>Town elaborated<\/em> style, it underwent major restoration work in the summer of 2011.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nearby lookouts and interpretation panels<\/a><\/strong> about log driving allow visitors to admire the river and appreciate its history. It is one of the longest covered bridges in Qu\u00e9bec. With its particularly photogenic setting, its red color creates a striking contrast with the surrounding forest.<\/p>\n
