About<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The Gatineau Valley is located in the Outaouais administrative region, at the crossroads of the Laurentians and Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With more than 20,500 inhabitants, the territory was developed along the Gatineau River and Route 105, which crosses it entirely from north to south.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The territory stretches nearly 250 km from south to north. Its most southern part is about a 30-minute drive from Gatineau-Ottawa. It includes the ZECs (Zones d\u2019exploitation contr\u00f4l\u00e9e \u2013 <\/em>\u201cControlled Harvesting Zones\u201d) Bras-Coup\u00e9-D\u00e9sert and Pontiac, a part of the La V\u00e9rendrye wildlife reserve and of the Baskatong reservoir, as well as large forests, accounting for more than half of its area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This region is blessed with natural resources; among other attractions, its bodies of water are of exceptional quality. It is therefore a privileged destination for tourists in search of adventures in the wild and of outdoor recreational activities such as hunting and fishing, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to its cottage and tourist infrastructures, the region attracts nearly 40,000 seasonal residents in the summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
