The Imelda tugboat (remorqueur Imelda) is an important piece of the region’s forestry heritage. It arrived at the Baskatong Reservoir in the early 1950s and operated there until the end of 1992. Its main role was to form log booms (“booming”) to allow the timber to be floated toward the sawmills.
